It seems that there is no place to hide from the recent spate of knife crime that seems to be gripping the UK at the moment. On Sunday, we heard the sad news that it has also made it's ugly way into the world of music festivals. A place I for one believe is sacred.

It makes me question what kind of world we live in when an innocent bystander attempts to defend his young female friend who has been accosted by two men and is then set upon with what seems the weapon of choice for young people these days a knife. He was stabbed 11 times about his head and body for helping a friend.

Fortunately, he was attended to on site by an excellent medical and hospital which had been set up and is said to be 'making good progress' at a nearby hospital. It could have been so much worse and I could instead by telling you about the fatality of another young person in another senseless crime. What the hell is happening to society? Has the world gone mad?

Next time it could be me, you or a loved one or friend that someone decides to attack with a knife on the street when we going about our daily lives minding our own business or stepping in to help someone. We need to put a stop to it now before more people a cruelly taken away from us.
