- Description:
Crib opens on a dark, moonlit room with a baby sleeping on her stomach in a stuffed animal-packed crib. Warning of the perils of sudden infant death, a voiceover states, "This baby's in danger"; the spot closes in on the inanimate toys, growling menacingly at the baby. In a flash, the crib is clean and the baby reappears on her back in the morning light; a smiling mother lifts the healthy infant, illustrating the importance of maintaining an un-crowded crib and keeping newborns on their back during sleep. Nola Pictures' Director Rob Luehrs picked up a Silver ADDY in the "Public Service TV" category for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services spot Crib, completed via Sherry Matthews Advocacy Marketing. The Austin ADDY Award Show took place on Saturday, February 12th, at the Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater.
