| For the second film of C. S. Lewis's 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' a god-like lion had to be digitally created. The taask for this was given to VFX company Framestore. In addition to the creation of Aslan, the company created Trufflehunter, a badger who befriends the heroes and patterwig a Narnian squirrel. The 200 strong team also created several effects and effects-based sequences, including the children's translation from the wartime London Underground station to Narnia. Altogether, the team worked for some 16 months on over 520 shots under the leadership of vetran VFX Supervisor Jon Thum. The film was released in the US on May 16th 2008 and in the UK on 26th June. |
