| Visual effects design company, a52 was honoured once again by the AICP for their visual effects artistry on last year's Monster. com 'Slots' commercial. This award marks the eleventh consecutive year that a52's work has been honoured at the event. The ad. features countless people traveling through a darkened city on rails, moving without moving, to the sounds of the song 'Dream On' by The Chemical Brothers. They are effortlessly carried along their individual paths towards their respective workdays. Artfully combining real-time and lapse-time cinematography captured by Frank Budgen of Gorgeous Enterprises, London and his fellow director of photography John Mathieson, the sun eventually rises, and amid hundreds of track-bound travelers, one man finally dares to move his leg and break out of his slot, walking along on his own. A title card appears reading, "Find your own path." |
