| The Chemical Brothers are Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands. They were both born in the early Seventies and met whilst at University in Manchester. Originally, known as the Dust Brothers after the American production duo who famously worked with the Beastie Boys they had to change their name due to threatened legal action by the original duo in 1995 and quickly became the Chemical Brothers. The Chemical Brother style of music is known as Big Beat of which they could be said they pioneered along with The Prodigy closely followed by Fatboy Slim. Other genres they are always associated with are house, trip hop, dance, electronic music. |
